Wildebeest grazing across the Serengeti grasslands in Tanzania

Our story

Tanzania journeys, rooted in Maasai culture

OLORIO brings together three things that make northern Tanzania special: Maasai culture, the mountains and lakes around Arusha, and the great parks of the north.

Our approach

Travel that respects the people who make it possible

We want visitors to leave with a real sense of the people and landscapes they met — not a checklist. That means cultural visits arranged with participating hosts, who decide what they share, and itineraries paced so there is time to take things in.

It also means being honest. Wildlife and weather are never guaranteed, sample itineraries are a starting point, and every proposal will say clearly what is included and what is still being arranged.

What you can expect

  • Tailored, not packaged

Every journey starts from your dates, pace and budget. Sample routes are a starting point, never a fixed product.

  • Clear about what is confirmed

Proposals separate what is included, what is optional and what is still being arranged, so there are no surprises.

  • Culture on your hosts' terms

Hosts should decide what they share. Participating communities and arrangements must be confirmed before any visit.

  • Honest about nature

Wildlife and weather are never guaranteed. We plan around the season and tell you what is realistic.
